Safeguarding Policy
Last updated: 30 August 2025
Our Commitment
British Elderly Care is committed to protecting the rights, dignity, and safety of every individual who uses our services. Safeguarding is at the heart of our practice, and we adopt a zero-tolerance approach to abuse or neglect.
Recognising Abuse
Our staff are trained to recognise signs of abuse, which may include physical, emotional, sexual, financial, or neglectful harm. We act promptly to investigate and protect anyone at risk.
Reporting Concerns
Any safeguarding concerns must be reported immediately to our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). Where appropriate, matters will be escalated to local safeguarding boards, regulators, or law enforcement. Concerns will always be treated seriously and confidentially.
Staff Training
All employees receive safeguarding induction and refresher training. This ensures they understand their responsibilities under UK safeguarding law, including the Care Act 2014, and know how to respond quickly and appropriately.
Whistleblowing
We encourage staff, residents, and families to raise concerns without fear of reprisal. Clear whistleblowing channels are available to ensure transparency and accountability across our organisation.
Contact Us
